Terms and Conditions

PRICES

The prices shown cover existing stocks only and are not offered as quotations.

NWCS reserve the right to adjust selling prices without prior notice.

PAYMENT

1. Credit Accounts

To open a credit account references are required from two companies with whom you have credit facilities, your name, address and bank account number.

Payment will fall due 30 days from date of invoice. Failure to pay by due date shall entitle NWCS to withhold despatch of future orders and may incur a 5% over base rate interest charge. Payment may be made by paypal or Cheque. Orders of great value may not be dispatched until payment is cleared.

2. Cash with order

Send cash or cheque remittance with your order to cover its approximate value plus charges for postage, packing, insurance and VAT. When the cheque has been cleared to our bank account, for which you must allow up to seven working days, an invoice will be issued with the goods.

RESERVATION OF TITLE TO GOODS

All goods will remain the property of NWCS until payment is received in full by cash/card and any cheque given in payment has been honoured. If payment is not made NWCS without prejudice may recover and/or re-sell the goods. Therefore NWCS servants or agents may enter the buyer's premises to recover the goods. The buyer will be liable for all NWCS costs on such occasions.

RETURN FOR CREDIT OR EXCHANGE

Goods will not be accepted for credit or exchange unless the original date and invoice number are quoted and they are returned within seven days of receipt. We reserve the right to charge a minimum handling of 5.00, or 15% of the value of goods returned to us for reasons other than the goods are defective, or not in compliance with your order.

PATTERNS

Items sent to NWCS by way of pattern is entirely at the risk of the buyer and should make provision at their expense for any such item to be insured.

DISPATCH CHARGES

All goods are priced "Ex-Warehouse". We add appropriate amounts for postage, packing, insurance and VAT. If an order contains items which are temporarily out of stock or require obtaining specially, we will advise you of our intention to obtain at the earliest. As soon as the goods arrive, we will send these to you charging postage, packing, insurance and VAT as usual. If you do not wish to have items obtained, please state on your order "ONLY SUPPLY IF IN STOCK".

CLAIMS, BREAKAGES & SHORTAGES

Items with a value of 75 or over will be sent by recorded delivery - signed for or Special Delivery. In this case the proof of posting will be kept for 30 days from date of posting and we will provide you with a scanned copy of the certificate containing the serial number via email upon our being notified by you of loss or damage.

In case of pilferage or damage, wrappings should be retained. All claims for lost or damaged goods must be made by you the purchaser and are between you and Royal Mail or other carrier, our responsibility ceases once the item enters the postal system.

Shortages must also be reported to us within three days.

GOODS ON APPROVAL

We are prepared to forward certain goods on seven days approval to accredited customers only. If no goods are kept from an approval parcel, postage will be charged.

PART DELIVERY

It is our constant endeavour to carry adequate stocks of all items shown on the website. If certain items are not available on receipt of order, we will supply all that is in stock and the balance will follow as soon as possible. A list of 'to follow' items will appear on the delivery note and invoice.

INVOICING

Invoices are included with all deliveries unless otherwise requested. With larger concerns a delivery note accompanies the goods and an invoice is sent under separate cover.

TELEPHONE ORDERS

When placing telephone orders please request: MATERIAL DEPARTMENT .

Quote your account number and name, our six figure reference number, brief description and quantity required. If received before 2.00pm (subject to stock availability) orders will be dispatched on the same day.

Official order numbers must be quoted by larger concerns. When sending confirmation of telephone orders please ensure that they are clearly marked CONFIRMATION.

EMAIL

We will accept email orders under the same terms as telephone orders. This service may also be used for price and delivery enquires.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of all the information displayed on the web site, Northern Watch & Clock Supplies can not accept any responsibility for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to vary, amend or cancel any of the arrangements featured on the web site should they find such alterations necessary.

ITEMS NOT ON WEBSITE

Lack of space prevents us listing all the items we hold in stock. If your requirements are not listed on the website, please enquire for availability, price and delivery.

DATA PROTECTION

Any information supplied to Northern Watch & Clock Supplies is held in accordance with the data Protection Act 1998 and may be used by Northern Watch & Clock Supplies to keep you informed of special offers and products which we believe are of interest to you. We do not disclose personal information to any other organisation. If you would prefer not to be updated by our mailings, please write or Email giving your full name and current postal address including postcode.
